15 Minute Rule
How soon after you wake up do you look at your phone? One of our most routine, quiet habits may be one of the most detrimental to our day to day mental health. When you first wake up, you may feel foggy, a bit disoriented, and have low inhibition to fight off unwanted thoughts and triggers. Immediately flooding your thoughts with social media content, texts, voicemails, etc. drains our cognitive energy, and leaves you at the mercy of whatever information you intake when you’re at your most vulnerable. A solution may be to not look at your phone for the first 15 minutes after waking up. Give your brain some time to get started! Read the article below for more:
