De-Catastrophizing with Perspective and Logic
In previous weeks we’ve addressed “Cognitive Distortions,” thoughts that are untrue, and therefore unhelpful. We often make situations out to be bigger, more important, or more about us than they really are. This creates an inaccurate sense of importance, which could heighten anxiety and lead to responses that don’t reflect realty.
